The Great American Oil Spill (BBC2, Sunday 7 November, 8pm, 2010)
Mark and Stephen Fry's one-hour special about April 2010's Gulf of Mexico oil spill. They investigated how it affected fishermen, tourism and local communities, the environment - especially the fragile wetlands - and wildlife. They looked at the likely long-term impact to the region as well as the future of oil and oil exploration. They interrogated BP, joined conservationists on a Greenpeace ship, explored the damaged swamps, helped to clean sea turtles, rescued oiled pelicans and talked to independent scientists.
