Humboldt squid
Scott Cassell, squid researcher, wears a steel-mesh suit usually worn by shark divers to protect himself from the aggressive squid. Squid numbers are rocketing in the Sea of Cortez because we've fished out their main predators such as sharks, tuna, swordfish and marlin.
