  • Look out for Mark's new TV series Museum of Life, which starts on Thursday 18 March at 8pm on BBC 2. A fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the Natural History Museum in London, it will run for six consecutive weeks. The series is presented by Jimmy Doherty and Mark is one of four roving reporters.

  • Last Chance to See was recently voted top TV / Radio programme of 2009 by readers of Wanderlust magazine.

  • Mark is currently filming a Last Chance to See special, with Stephen Fry, following up on the northern white rhino story in the original series. The northern white rhino is extinct in the wild but there are a handful in captivity, most in the Czech Republic. Mark and Stephen went to meet them in deep snow and sub-zero temperatures just before Christmas, then Mark travelled with four of them in the cargo hold of a Boeing 747 to sunny Kenya, where they met up with Stephen again in preparation for release into the wild. Filming continues in the spring.

  • Look out for Mark's current interviews in:

March issue of MacFormat magazine - talking about one of his favourite subjects, his beloved Apple Macs

WDCS's Whale and Dolphin magazine (spring issue)

    Traveller magazine (spring issue)
