Baja California, Mexico

Our annual trip to Baja was outstanding as always (Mark rates this as one of the best places in the world for whale watching and it never fails to disappoint). One of the highlights this year was an extraordinary close encounter with a group of four Peruvian beaked whales (three females and a male - we include just one image of a female here, but Mark now has some of the best pictures ever taken of this rarely-seen species). These images show (left to right): common dolphin, Pacific white-sided dolphin, common dolphin, Guadalupe fur seals, northern elephant seal, Peruvian beaked whale (female), humpback whale, humpback whale and grey whale.
