Pictures of the Month: November 2007

We're cheating a little this month, because Mark took these photographs no less than twenty years ago - in 1988. But we couldn't ignore the terrible news that the Yangtze river dolphin, or baiji, has just been declared officially extinct. Only a handful of people have ever taken pictures of this extraordinary species, which makes Mark's images all the more important - they're just about the only surviving record of its existence.
