Vancouver Island, western Canada

In October, Mark returned to his old haunt on Vancouver Island - Telegraph Cove - for a week of killer whale watching (he was leading an extension of the Festival of Nature). It rained heavily much of the time, unfortunately. The killer whales were out in force, though, along with a good number of humpback whales and Pacific white-sided dolphins.
